The number of product launches containing an 'added calcium" claim remains stable, with Innova Market Insight tracking 155 new introductions globally in the first quarter 2011, a similar total to the previous seven quarters. Recent Innovations include Yoplaint Calin+ Plain Yogurt ( France), where one pot contains 50% of RDA for calcium, "100% vitamin D, and proteins to enhance bone health." Another innovative launch is Milk V for children from leading Israeli daity company Tnuva. With double the calcium content-the highest level in the Israeli market-and increased levels of vitamin D ( 1.5mg of daily vitamin D in one serving), Milk V relies on the unique Capsu Dar vitamin D solution provided by Lycored, which was involved in the development of the products.

Ingredia Nutritionals has found a new potential positioning for its Lactium milk protein hydrolysate ingredient. The company claims that Lactium "can help you successfully stop smoking by managing stress linked to withdrawal

" The concept product Zen & Free has been created using Gum-link's patented Bi- layered compressed chewing gum, which is a particularly suitable delivery system for active ingredients, such as Ingrdia's Lactium.
